Prayers for Anna Grace!

Bloggy friends, my little one needs your prayers. This last week, Anna Grace broke out in a terrible rash. It started on her stomach and moved to her right leg. Then to both legs, her arms, chin, and finally her face. After two emergency room visits, a trip to the pediatrician, a couple days of Benadryl and steroids, her rash has finally subsided. However, now she is running a fever. Yesterday morning it was a low grade 100.5. I didn't think too much of it, even with the rash, because she is cutting teeth. But then this morning, it rose to 102.6, and by the time we went back to the pediatrician this afternoon it had spiked up to 105.2. Which is very scary for an almost seven month old. (Actually, more scary for the mother of an almost seventh month old!) They are running tests for bladder/kidney infection, which we will know back about on Friday, and we are alternating Tylenol and Motrin to keep the fever down. We also are starting antibiotics for infection, because her doctor said the fever is too high for it to be her teeth. So, please pray! We're not sure what's going on or if the rash and fever are even related. She just needs the Lord's healing touch! So, please pray! Thank you and blessings to all!

Oh, Tiffany ~ what a scary thing! I'll be praying for your daughter today and until you let us all know she's doing better. Be strong, Mama! =)

I will pray!!

This happened last summer to Laura Grace. I thought it was chicken pox at first because of the rash and high temp. It ended up being a viral infection and the dr. said that often viruses will cause children's bodies to break out in that rash. She ran a very high-105 fever for several days and was then perfectly fine.

I am praying that Anna Grace recovers just as quickly and that it is nothing serious!!

High fevers are so scary! Both of my girls (2.5 and 1.5) spike extremely high fevers when they are sick. Both were 105 several times this year and all times were viral and just had to run the course. (And, I DO think they can run that high with teeth... mine did). Just trust your gut... if you think you need to take them in or just call the nurse, don't feel bad, just do it. No one is going to think you are crazy!! But, I will be praying for you all! It is not a fun thing when your baby is sick!

I was logging on Tiff to tell you that it was great to hear your voice on our answering maching the other day, and that we'd be honored if you use the hospice Journey Quilt article.

BUT, first I can see baby Anna is need of our prayers; I'm really sorry to read of this.

We are getting one of her quilts ready to mail to you for Anna too. There aren't many left now, but we want Anna to have one like big brother does.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, Pray for Anna.

It is so frightening when our little ones are sick. They are resilient though. I will pray for you all.

I'm praying, Tiffany. I know it's always extremely scarey when our babes run such high fevers.

Just for what it's worth, there must be something going on by way of a virus causing this. My husband suffered with the same thing at Christmas and they treated it the same way. However, he did not have the second fever spike. In the neighboring county to ours this mystery rash is spreading around one of schools.
