Advent Week 3: JOY!

Light the first two purple candles, and then light the pink candle.

Sing a Christmas carol or hymn. (I have chosen Joy to the world.)

JOY To The World, The Lord Has Come
The Earth Receive Her King
Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room
And Heaven and Nature Sing
And Heaven and Nature Sing
And Heaven, And Heaven And Nature Sing!

Joy To The World, the Savior Reigns!
Let Men Their Songs Employ;
While Fields and Floods, Rocks Hills and Plains
Repeat the Sounding Joy
Repeat the Sounding Joy
Repeat Repeat the Sounding Joy!

No More Let Sins and Sorrows Grow,
Nor Thorns Infest the Ground,
He Comes to Make His Blessings Flow
Far as the Curse is Found,
Far as the Curse is Found,
Far as, Far as the Curse is Found!

He Rules the World With Truth and Grace,
And Makes the Nations Prove,
The Glories of His Righteousness,
And Wonders of His Love,
And Wonders of His Love
And Wonders, And Wonders of His Love!
Scripture Reading: Isaiah 35:10 And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with singing, with everlasting JOY on their heads. They shall obtain JOY and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
Prayer: Lord we thank you for the gift of your son our savior Jesus Christ. We praise your name for the hope we have found in Him, and the Joy that fills our hearts because of your great love for us. Thank you for this most precious gift. We love you forever, and ever more! -Amen.
I can not tell you what this Christmas season has meant to me already this year. It brings me great joy to see my children growing in the knowledge of our Lord. To be able to celebrate with them the true meaning of Christmas and see them really getting it, warms my heart. There are just no words. Just this week I came in the room to find my sweet girl rocking the baby Jesus from our nativity, and singing to Him. And just the other night, we were coming home from the mall, when our son looked up in the sky and said, "Look daddy, it's the star of Bethlehem!" Can it get any better than this? ~Blessings to all of you this Advent season!

Wonderful post! We are doing Advent for the very first time this year. It is, like all things the first time, very imperfect. Regardless, our family is really enjoying it. Even Cadie is learning and looks forward to our family Advent time.

Your posts on Advent last year helped to inspire us for this year. Thank you!

You are such a wonderful mother Tiffany and I know you must of had a very good teacher. Those gifts are coming through you now and into your children and going out to all that read your blog.

I don't know what it is about Christmas this year, but it is very, very, special. I had even shared with the Bible Study group last week about how different it is this year.
